New start made hard as you can not upgrade ship

Just purchase this game and during the first few hours, I've not been able to upgrade my ship at the Argon equipment dock as it is always waiting on hull parts.

So I end up in a very basic ship and the only nearby station that could improve my ship for speed, scanners and auto dock is totally out of action. There is not even any indication why it needs the 1000s of hull parts it is saying it needs and it is also very unclear why waiting on such parts would block me from making any upgrade purchases - such as software modules.


It would be worth adding this issue to the todo list as it kills the game start.

I ha the same issue. Waiting for the trader will fix it, but in the meantime this is a good time to start exploring the universe

I thought the same thing last week when I first got got the game, but you have to finalize the deal that you want in the top-right there's a button to click and then you can click on the button at the bottom right to pay for.

The wharf where you start is not well supplied. Start the science mission and you will be given instructions on where a better wharf is. Or explore and find one. Then your only concern will be money

Same issue at first, but found out that as long as I have enough money, of course; tap the number '4' key twice. Once to add to cart, once again to confirm purchase. Even if it says not enough materials available, I'll still get my upgrades installed. Just takes 60 seconds, instead of 30 when mats available.
