Station manager quit after being reassigned from ship

Using current build - 1.30 (323986) English
not modified using any third party scripts or mods
Game start -The Unworthy Entrepreneur
made no changes to game aside from putting settings on lowest possible

according to the skills on my crew the origional station manager should have been the trading pilot and the trading pilot should have been the station manager, manually switched them and then the station manager disappeared completely, unsure the cause. no log of where the missing crew member disappeared to either.

I've also noticed this issue many times now. If I have a ship docked and reassign one of its crew to be the manager of the station where it's docked, the new manager disappears soon after that ship undocks. Funny thing is, the manager reappears suddenly if that ship docks again... I'm guessing it's a bug. If the manager shows up in the station's info menu under manager, I'd say I gave them enough time to get off the blasted ship. That's not to mention the fact that they no longer will ever show up in the ship's info menu as crew.

This could break the station if at some point you loose that ship, since the manager only appears if the ship is there.

This game has been great and terrible all at once.

Edit: If you find that your manager reappears when the ship he came from is re-docked, try to reassign him to the ship and try it all again varying whatever you can think of. Think: magic crystals, unicorn hairs, lucky underwear, etc. I found this post right after it happened to me for the first time this last playthru, at which point my fingers found alt and f4. Otherwise I would try it myself. All together, it's prolly been about six times tho. I've never started a fresh playthru so many times in a week ever.

I found if you dock the ship with the missing manager then visit the managers office, to make sure the manager is there in the seat, the ship is free to undock again.

Check the outside of the ship that needs to dock for the station manager to register and see if any NPC is dangling off say a ship's ladder.
