1.30 FREEZE Very often game freezes - Inadequate graphics card

Hi,
I am heaving a major issue with game freezing. It is not sometimes, it has been a constant, making the game completely unplayable and stressful event.

1.30 English
no mods, clean stream install
1st game start
Exact nature of the problem - game freezes after max 20 consecutive minutes of play, and those 20 mins are the record. Freeze after freeze, in space, Black Hole Sun sector, flying my elite with no upgrades installed, just start game basic equipment. On platform running around, trying to grasp the game play.
Any possibly relevant changes you have made to your game, system, or software before the issue occurred - Just bought the game from your official website and installed it with steam, so nothing prior...

I am aware that I dont have end line machine, but all other games I play work just fine. X4 is the only one with this major issue.
Is the game generally unstable?

At this point, the game is totally unplayable as I spend more time loading up the game and save.
So, it would be very polite of You to get me some answers...
The game either freezes or crashes everywhere all the time. Usually getting very near stations to dock, in transitions flying through gates, even after loading screen etc.
Eagerly awaiting any kind of support...

Your main problem is that you have a graphics card with 2 GB VRAM when 3 GB is the minimum to play the game properly (4 GB recommended). You will get these game issues with that inadequate graphics card.

It may be worth verifying your Steam gamefiles cache for X4 in case any other installation issue is adding to your problems.

So if I buy graphics card with 4gb of RAM, like radeon R7 240, game will be stable?

I have same problem after 1.3 update. Heavy and frequent freezes up to 5-8 sec on 2070 RTX.

On before patches gamepley was completely smooth for me, but on 1.3 it is terrible.

Thank for other fixes, especial for NPC aim(tested onlly S class and laser towers).

@ RuRom: I very much doubt that you have the exact same problem and causes. The vast majority of other players with adequate graphics cards are not reporting such freeze issues in 1.30. Please start your own thread and provide the information asked for in the first announcement on this forum. I would definitely advise you to do a Steam X4 verify if you have not already done so since the 1.30 update.

@ Io: I cannot promise you that a new graphics card will make the game entirely stable enough for your tastes. I can only state that your current card does not meet the minimum requirements for the game.

Any plans for fixing game for 2 gb cards?
I have decent 2x2gb gtx690 , and x4 is the only game that have such issues and crashes. Heck, even Witcher 3 runs smoothly on ultras...

I test it more and likely found cause, it was FPS Monitor software, after closing this program by now all fine.

(FPS monitor is usefull monitoring software: fpsmon.com ) may be it conflict in some way.

@ letwolf: CBJ has said that Egosoft may try to make gameplay better for X4 players with 2 GB graphics cards, but they will still have to use lowest graphics etc settings and will still have a substandard game experience compared to others meeting the specs even then - but at least it may run without too many stoppages. Naturally that task is not high on their 'to do' list just now.
