I bouht an Eclipse and payed the basically empty Xenon sector a visit to see if there was more action. There was.
I escaped with 1% hull (there was not even a pixel on the bar) and remembered I had forgotten to get a crew for the repairs. So I docked and got 2.
No repairs happening, neither docked or undocked.

Only M size and larger ship service crews repair ships apparently. I think eclipse is an S size.

I am quite sure my start ship was repaired up to 64%. Several times.
