What are the steps you take to assign a ship to gather building materials for a station?

I have assigned a ship to trade for my PHQ and I have put money in the station and build account.

I have other ships coming to my station bringing the materials.

The ship I assigned has enough skill.

I feel like I'm forgetting one setting.....any ideas?

2nd question:

I just went to get some materials myself, flown back to the PHQ but cant find a way to unload them onto the station as building materials? I can't dock with the building stockpile either....

On the trade menu nothing comes up...am I been stupid here??


Edit: Just left the pilot seat and figured I can transfer wares now with the build stie. Is there any way to do this when I am pilot?

I /think/ in order to (personally) interact with the building stockpile you need a ship that carries cargo drones.. unsure on this, but I can say that not all M traders can carry drones

Obv the money has to come from the correct account: the generic 'trade' a/c is not the same as the 'build' a/c..

Thanks for the feedback, yeah it's a bit of a tough one. The personal delivery of wares was just a little bit confusing.

My bigest issue is assigning my own traders to deliver wares to my own station to build...feel like there must be a way.
