I accidently removed my LRS (long range scanner) button (default "R" in shift + 3 mode) and tried to find it again.
Had to reset all settings to default to have it corrected, but this means my graphical and sound was reset aswell.
After i had reset, i looked for default R mapping, and it was non existent.
I do not know if this is a 1.30 bug or not, as i never checked this before.

Re: [BUG]Long Range scanner missing control mapping
It is the same as the fire missiles control as the exact function is set by the current mode - the R key is not usually remappable for one without the other as well.
See this thread too.

I see.
The best solution would be a keymapping section for each mode. Would be much less questions about this in the future

That was often asked for in X Rebirth too (firing missiles when trying to scan, or giving an enemy ship a nasty scanning when you meant to blow it away)! I guess that there are very good dev reasons for not splitting the functions.
