Rep with pirates broken?

Hi guys,

I was doing some pirate missions and noticed my Rep never changing from -5.

Is this a bug or are you not supposed to get better rep with pirates?

It's gotta be broken as there is an achievement for joining the Scale Plate Pact, so it must be intended to be possible.

The achievement itself is doable, but the reputation does indeed seem bugged:

Upon finding the SCA HQ in Hewa's Twin IV you'll get invited immediatly regardless of the -5 reputation, but doing cartel missions for them won't raise your reputation, despite the little dialog when you join mentioning that you'll become friends with them

pirate is way of life, not the ability to join a gang

On the flip side, I've been blowing Scale Pact ships apart and my rep never goes DOWN.

I've never killed those but the other ones go down. Unless they attack you (are red) then it doesn't lower rep. Same as red civilians.

There are pirates in game That whole sector (scale plate) if overrun with Xenon in my game ?
