yes lets all blame our systems now for game bugs.... :/

its happened to me various times, i've lost control of the key inputs to disengage or engage mouse steering multiple times, requiring pressing ESC to get into the menu and back out again and suddenly my inputs are working again.

other times its thing like shift+ commands suddenly wont register or Autopilot gets tuck on and wont disengage.

but of course it must be my computer's fault, even if its only ever this game that exhibits loss of function.. does it matter that i've also used both a ps/2/usb keyboard (HP and Saitek) and wireless and wired mouses (MS optical and razer) and still get these random occurrences... again, only in THIS game??..

their is most certainly an issue in the game causing this, trying to suggest its the end-users fault at this point is scraping the barrel a bit.. what with the ever growing list of early access like broken features and bugs (features).

Firstly I am just a player and not an Egosoft employee so don't waste your time complaining about the state of the game to me please. I stated that if my advice helped just one person, then great.

Secondly if it were purely the game's built-in fault present on everybody's system then why are the overwhelming majority of players not seeing this issue? Even those with the issue are not seeing exactly the same symptoms and effectiveness of workarounds. We need to start looking for the commonalities amongst those that do get this issue rather than generally blaming the game and not bothering to identify the circumstances and situations leading to the issue occurring. Obviously the game stresses contribute to and maybe trigger the issue, but it is not something that the devs can just 'fix' out of thin air.

We realize that the devs cannot 'fix this out of thin air' but bugs often only affect some users due to different system configurations that the game could conflict with. Also since the temporary fix for most people seems to be hitting esc twice, this tells me that the issue is a software one since double tapping a key on your keyboard clearly does not do a driver reset or anything of the sort.


I honestly find your condescending response disturbing, I thought this was a forum for reporting issues not a forum for mods to blame our systems and tell us not to complain to them.
