"dock at" vs teleport [bug?]

So, I got a mission asking me to hack a panel on a specific station. Cool
The thing is the first objective of this mission is "dock at the station" and you cannot move forward without actual docking with you onboard taking place. Do I really have to haul a ship all the way through the galaxy just to have it touch the landing pad if I'm already there via teleportation?
