Hi all,
Just wondering how much progress we're making towards getting the game playable for all? Had the game a week now since it went live and still have not been able to launch it but from what I'm hearing it is pretty cool, plenty of YouTube vids coming out about gameplay etc.
Did try the tech support forum on here but the issue went unresolved and the post faded into the realms of obsucrity, as bad as X Rebirth was, at least I was able to launch it but hey, what you gonna do?
So to come back on topic; can you give us a rough ETA of the time when we can all run it? Cheers!
PS. Still love you Egosoft; in spite of it all.
How are we doing with the updates? Cannot start game [FIXED with update 1.30]

From my understanding Egosoft will update it...White Rat wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 19:35 Hi all,

but that being said they have never been one for open communication with us. I know there are some more fixes coming in 1.3 because I saw one post a reply about it (guild/war missions not showing up if you abort one), but aside from that, there is no state of the game post or, hey we are aware there is some SERIOUS economy issues. Outside of a small known issue thread which doesn't even hint at the serious issues.
Honestly, and I hate to say this, refund your game if you got it on steam. If you can get it for *free* somewhere if your desperate to try it, but don't pay money for it until a few months of patches come out OR we get some actual FEEDBACK from Egosoft on what they are doing to fox things. I know this is not a popular idea, because people love to spout "but but but, without money how can tey fix it"...well an extra month in the cooker, or even an early-access period where you got the game for a discount but knew it was buggy would have really helped.
Simply put, this is an Alpha marketed as a finished product. Hell even Rebirth was more "finished" when it was released, it just had bad mechanics/design from the beginning that took lots of patching to improve. This game DOES have some amazing potential, but it's a bug ridden heap of crap right now. At MOST you will get about 60 hours of gameplay out of it, before the economy becomes stagnant, all the bad guys are gone, and you are sitting with a bunch of miners and traders just sitting around unable to sell anything. Which, I guess if you look at if from the standpoint of most games released, 60 hours of gameplay is standard..so they could be falling back on that.

They have so far updated almost every day since release.White Rat wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 19:35 Hi all,

How long is a piece of string? I can guess- maybe 6 months. that`s usually how most games take to be more or less better after release these days. Me personally, I`ve been having a very enjoyable experience, myself even with the bugs and only 1 crash. So to come back on topic; can you give us a rough ETA of the time when we can all run it? 1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

Re: How are we doing with the updates?
For X fans the game is great ! I myself could not have waited 6 months I had to see what the beast has to offer, and some parts of the game are really impressive !
I still lost 1h progress 4 or 5 times because of CTDs and had some bugs like ending in an asteroid or in a base, traders that can"t sell wares they bought and stay idle forever etc... but I've enjoyed the 60 hours I've played so far, to me it's a big step foreward but some small backward also because the game is clearly unfinished and some aspectsq are not working at all like the war systeme and the economy... But they'll fix it !

Devs are doing an awesome job of working on updates. There is a lot more needed but it's been enjoyable being part of the update process and trying out things that changed overtime.
The devs been really working hard and I don't seem them letting up!

My mate had to uninstall an old graphics card driver and install a new one in order to play the game,White Rat wrote: ↑Thu, 6. Dec 18, 19:35 Hi all,

Problem Solved,
A big thank you to Egosoft for patch 1.30. That was the one that did the trick.
