Spoiler: it´s less fun than it sounds.

so while I was in a shop my medium ship got lowered down an AI ship of the same type.
I got on board without noticing and they started.
I could talk to the captain and pilot but there was no way of asking them to dock somewhere.
the "Use Spacesuit" option of the transporter was grayed out, so no jumping out the airlock either.
so i asked myself: what do the ai ships actually do all the time? And stood behind the Pilot while watching someone else play x4 on youtube^^
The answer: not much, they fly trough a bunch of sectors and stand still in asteroid fields for hours without docking anywhere.

That brings us to the next question:
is there a Taxiservice in x4?
