Cant capture ships

im not having the issue where people couldnt claim ships

my issue is that when the pilots jump out of a ship im shooting at, the game drops the ships health to about 5% unfortunately for me its impossible to tell wether a pilot will jump or not and more often than not ill still have shots in a burst going, and kill the now empty ship

any suggestions on how to stop this from happening outside of asking the egosoft devs why they added this?
