keys to ping the scanner

Hi All, I can't seem to find the keys to ping the scanner. My 'R' brings up my property the 'L' engages cockpit-look. Holding them for two seconds...nope, shift/CTRL...nope. I look in the control settings for the root scan assignment feature and I don't see it anywhere...strange. Any ideas?

Am guessing you are asking about long range scans.

Ctrl+3 to enter Long Range Scan Mode. (Cockpit will turn blue)
R to charge it, 1-2 seconds then release. (Listen for the audio sound, Direction pule will ping any active signals in that direction upto 300km away)

- I am guessing it's just because you were in the wrong mode that R did not work.

Yes...The secondary (missile button) held for two seconds then released did it. Erqco is a scholar and a gentleperson, Thanks
