Suggestion regarding the context menu

Post by Naalei »

Please, when opening any contextual menu or any panel, or whatever which need the mouse to be used to interact, automatically disengage the "fly with mouse" option (don't know the name in english :D)
I'm always flying using the mouse (not by clicking and holding mouse button, but usingt the option that make the ship follow the mouse cursor at any time) and each time I want to scan something, I open the menu using "F" key and forget to disengage the mouse...

And also, it would be great to be able to give order to other ships in same squadron without using the map.
Like, I select the target in front of me, open context menu and give "squadron -> attack" order. It is quite annoying to have to open the map to give orders while in battle. (or maybe I missed some easy shortcuts :D)

I was going to suggest the same, thanks for beating me to it. :)

I shouldn't have to disable fly-by-mouse (SHIFT+Space) each time I want to use a contextual menu (F or right-click) in space.

Also, what I suggested elsewhere make the context menu appear on the target, not the cursor when activated from the key/button (when gamepad mode is off). Makes it really annoying to use the HOTAS.
