What button shows the inventory of the collected items in my ship - i'm sure its in the manual - trying to see how much of the items i have collected - crystals dropped canisters that sort of stuff - cheerz

It doesn't show the items there for some reason, I've had a ship collecting spacefly eggs, unstable crystals and Lodestones for nearly an hour and there is nothing in storage.

Those are Player Inventory items, not ship inventory.

I don't know if player inventory items you get your ship/pilot to pick up end up in player inventory. You might have to pick stuff up while flying the ship yourself with the tractor beam.

They dont so far, even after checking for the ! mark for a new item and manual counting. Altho since restarting I havent done it again so I'd have to check if it persists in this patch.
