Encyclopedia Description box always shows No information available

Why is the Description box in the Encyclopedia section always showing no information available? Every single entry I have in the menu has no information, even entries about Races. Do you have to gather this information or is it simply the case that the developers and content writers not bothered to add content for this. If so, why even bother showing a Description box at all. Or do you have to 'gather' this information as you explore?

Oh no.. I can accept bugs and the excuse everyone gives them for there releases, cause small team... But not on this front, there is no excuse, not when egosoft defends there game problems with, we wanted to get more players into our games..

1. No manual
2. No to little ui tool tip on hover, talking base min requirements on any interface today.
3. No info in encyclopedia

I have always supported them, and gave them time on half backed games, but at least I had info to help me along and feel like i was learning it... Expecting new players to a X game without these basic tools is a complete failure on this team,if I was their CEO id fire someone or resign, because if it is your life blood to grow your player base and fan base, then simple info game tools should of been HIGH priority..

I bought collectors edition, and still unless your a past X player, learning this game with zero info at your disposal, is just a disaster... Thank god for streamers and followers who have been working hard trying to help all the newbies, thats the thanks we get from our dedication to this studio, leave it to the fan base to help out their new potential customers, poor show on this front!

This. Bugs don't prevent me from playing a game but I just can't understand how all that lore is missing.
Also for internal QA there should be Wikis for all relevant commands. No one writes software without documentation of the functionality.

This is really inexcusable. It's not even a day of work to cut and paste all the relevant lore from previous titles, and then add some information about what the various weapon types do (i.e. ion blasters only damage shields). An intern could have done this. It would have made the game seem way more polished, I can't believe they didn't bother to do this. And for so little effort... It's really mind boggling.

that is exactly the problem, people always accepted egosoft to release things half done... now the really overdone it with half done to alpha state done... just saying people are to softy towards game companies and accept to many things and they know it and so they just think what ever people will swallow it and thats it.... look at many other space games.
