How to fire weapons

I can not figue out how to fire the weapons. I have never played any of the old games and I feel like I might have made a mistake in trying it. When you are playing the game it startes saying something hold the middle mouse button and then click the left mouse buttom. From what I have been readint the weapons fire is so bad that there is confusion among everyone else what it is. I started by trying to use my Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X and figured out it was not supported because it is not cool enough. However it did fire accidentally when I twisted the joystick. My first experiance with this game is frustration. I spent time ranting at my computer.

Oh no worries. Even us X veterans have our ranting moments with every release. XD

If you're using a mouse and keyboard, the space button fires your primary weapon and L and R (don't ask me why) are for your secondary weapons. Make sure your weapon ground is active. 1-4 on the keyboard for primary weapons and 5-8 for your secondary weapons groups.

You can see your bindings under control settings at any time (except for weapons groups? Which is weird...).

Thanks for letting me know that the weapons is not listed under the contol mapings. I thought that I was just having an IDIOT moment. I really do hope that someone creates mappings for my HOTAS. I really do not have the money to drop for a new one.
