[BUG] Player HQ docks eat ships and won't retrieve them

I've had one of my most expensive ships eaten by the player HQ dock I built and it won't retrieve it to the surface. So I guess I have to lose hours of play time to load an earlier save to get my ship back.

The game says it is trying to retrieve the ship to the surface but NEVER does. I have even tried 2 of my more recent saves and they have the same issue.

EDIT

Apparently moving out of the sector in another ship or with teleport fixes this issue and the ship is released from the dock. This is still a pretty big bug though.
