[REQUEST] Stop with the sliders for Trade amounts

A feature request. Please Stop with these silly sliders for setting an amount in Trades (and probably elsewhere). The only options we need are: None, All (being all that will fit in my selected cargohold or that I have in my cargohold to sell), or specified amount where we can type in the exact number.

This annoyed me to no end in X: Rebirth as well (I don't recall X3 enough) when doing trades trying to get the exact amount I wanted to complete a mission (e.g. 1350) and the slider going all over the place except the number I wanted.

As is tradition for Egosoft, this game has been released with the bare minimum of UI features needed to play it. That means a certain percentage of your free time will be spent working while you try to play the game. It's not very immersive, but they might have cut $50,000 or $100,000 from development costs so we can work at playing their games instead of truly enjoy playing them. To be honest, Bernd Lehahn probably wants to drive a fancy car far more than he wants us to really enjoy their games.

That is awesome, thanks! Would be nice to make it more obvious that we can edit that field, or just start typing without sliding.

I still haven't gotten this to work. I try typing something, and it just enters 0.

Yeah sometimes it's a bit wonky and the fact that you can type is not that obvious to see. But at least it is possible whenever there is a slider.

Sometimes it's a bit weird for me as well. Best bet is to do as rene6740 said with moving the slider anywhere, then carefully click on the amount text that's in the middle of the window (not the left amount which is your inventory nor the right amount which is the station/trader's inventory).

I don't mind the sliders themselves but I'd appreciate it if the devs would place the exact amount type-field differently.

If I first have to move the slider, then click on it and finally type the digits I might as well just use the slider to begin with and dial in the amount as close as possible with one swipe instead of three separate steps.
