I lost my loot! - WAI

I thought I would be clever and hide my loot from the cops. I stock piled space fly eggs and other seedy items I had located in wreckage's and all over the galaxy. I used a spare courier and named it "Stash 1" I would get the loot in my main ship then I would drop the loot containers and have "Stash 1" come pick up the containers and hide out in a Teladi zone (they seem pretty open minded with whats illegal and whats not) well after doing this a bit I decided to bring "Stash 1" in and check out my craft stuff! When I transferred to "Stash 1" my inventory remained empty and all my sweet treasures are gone I have my Global settings for Police and Pirate encounters set to escape so "Stash 1" didn't dump the loot on me, he picked it up and it just disappeared. Not a serious bug, maybe not even a bug BUT gameplay wise it sort of sucked. Any ideas??

Inventory wares are your personal stuff. You either have it, sell it or dump it. You cannot store it elsewhere as with cargo wares. It may 'appear' that you have dropped them and another ship of yours has picked them up but they just disappear; unless you pick them up again *yourself* you will have lost them.

Oh, well that's dumb. what the hell kind of game play is that? If I drop a $20 bill and someone picks it up... it still exists... what makes an item in X4 only exist in your possession? That seems like a very lazy game feature.

Disappointing.
