Crew leveling? claimed ship oddities?

So my trader(world) transporter(captured M +S) that is promoted pilot (crew/marine) with 0 star skills don't 'seem' to gain any skill improvements (still 0 piloting/trading after 20hours, even changed once to better), while my bought miner(L) with the pilot that came with the ship has gained trading, piloting and management (I think... at very slow rate now at 3+). If only there was a way to see the ALL the exact stats, so could be more certain (could not find if there is).

Certainly a bug with captured "pirate" buzzard (S) with promoted crew captain, when ever he stops/bugs off trading/exploring he goes on attack mode attacking me where ever I was, resetting what ever his current/default setting was.
