Intro: is there a proper story intro at all?

Just wondering if there is actually an intro video that explains the current state of the X universe that is meant to play when the game starts?

Nothing has ever done so on my game nor can I find any mention to one??

You are supposed to find data vaults by long range scanning, and upon activating them, they will fill your Encyclopedia's Timeline with entries which will tell you the story of the universe so far with videos and Betty talking.

Ah oh well, I'm obviously old school then!

Seems a shame as would have been nice to know what had happened before that the game refers to i.e. Boron disappearing etc.

Guess just have to play it to find out!
