A mild experience

This game has a nice potential but...

There are a few things that make it too easy

The universe is filled with S and M ships only, and the starter S ship with a few tweaks can kill anything one on one

Universe is too friendly; sometimes a stray xenon N or a single Khaak Ship shows up and gets obliterated.
I went into a Xenon Sector and started attacking a station farming their civilians for components trying to lure a Xenon K for the Argon missions. My fighter met no resistance, a lone N came to its death and after a few minutes another one. The Xenon Station had no weapons but a huge ammount of Hull Points so I got Bored and left.

The player has too much mobility:
Travel mode lets you avoid anything, that defense platform is blocking the gate? Travel mode!
A Xenon Armada is chasing you? Travel mode!
Your girlfriend is pregnant? Travel mode!
You always have the fastest ship so not even the scouts or interceptors can keep up with you

Too many rewards from common things and too few from big stuff
A repair satelite mission can give you 120,000 but in the Argon war you need to go to a Xenon Sector (because there are no raids) to find a couple of Xenon P and destroy em for 126,000

No point in making enemies of anyone, or even to befriend Pirates to get special secret weapons or ships, they use the same as anyone else

A huge rebalance update is needed, also make travel mode only avaliable when shield is full and automatically disabled upon any hit

Since everythin is so easy to get at this moment, I would recomend to not play the game sices you will get everythin too fast and too easy. Wait until a few barriers are made for you to clmb and get more fun

I agree, missions pay too much and we can run from any danger. Im not getting that feeling from X3 of climbing from nothing to something. Everything seems handed to the player too easily. I did a few missions and already had enough to get a mining ship fleet going bringing in passive income in the first hour. Since this is a sandbox game I would love it if they added difficulty sliders that we could adjust. So that we could make mission payouts like 10 times lower, adjust crew prices, costs of ships and equipment. Id rather not have to download or make mods for simple things like that.

I agree with all your points, and will add in my own gripe that the "main plot" takes all of 2 hours to complete in your starter ship, and only requires you to fight two light fighters. Also, turrets don't work so owning large ships is currently pointless except to own a slow, expensive garage.
