Awesome to awful & back again

I'm loving the game, picking up things organically as I go rather than going through the tutorials, but it can be a bit Jekyll and Hyde at times...


From version 1.0, thru hotfix 1 and version 1.1, I'm not quite sure whether I'm gonna get 50 frames per second, or 2 frames a second. -Luckily it's very rare it is the latter, but still is frustrating. - The other thing that happens is menus grow sluggish, and the ship bucks and weaves like it's caught in stormy seas. (I use a joystick and applied the fix for sensitivity issues as detailed elsewhere.) I'm not sure if it is something perculiar to my system, or whether it's happened to others. - The one thing I did notice was that when it decides to misbehave, it takes much, much longer to get past the initial Egosoft load screen.


I thought about throwing this in tech. support, but decided it might be better to see if others have had the same problem at any point.
