Hi people,
I am not sure how auto mining is actually working. I asked my M mining ships to mine, which they do very well, but then... Nothing. They don't go sell their cargo and just ask me for instruction.
Did i miss something ? How do I get them to sell their cargo automatically then go back to mining without me babysitting ?

I couldnt get my mining ship to auto mine even though I bought it with full crew. I went to it later and the crew had left so ive been mining myself.

Re: Auto mining
You need a one star pilot, go to the ship info, then the behavior button at the top. Change the default order to automine and then add the ores you want it to mine then click confirm. Make sure you have somewhere to sell nividium if you choose to mine it, otherwise they'll fill up and just sit there. It should go off on its merry way at that point and you can ignore it.

Re: Auto mining
As CaptObvious kinda sorta mentioned, you need to have a somewhere to sell the thing you're mining. If your guy is mining, say, iron, and there's nowhere to sell iron...he'll just sit there.
Time to get out there exploring and uncover more stations!

Re: Auto mining
As soon as i put as default behaviour to distribute the ore, they does find a station which actually buy those.
So not sure it is the actual problem.
Or maybe in mining mode they only look into the current sector instead of galaxy wide ?
Would really need some description about what a pilot can do with current level (they are 2 and 4 stars by the way).

Re: Auto mining
Should i put mining as default behaviour ? Since there are buying spots around the galaxy i guess something went wrong.

Re: Auto mining
I made a short tutorial on some of the automation systems, check it out i hope it helps, I plan on making some additional tutorials on different things, it's not a perfect video but it should help a bit, still sorting out some of the details on how the automation works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79rDcHCLmA0
