*Modified* Is Back! What is the current consequences?

So as some people don't know files seem to be back to the old X3 days and signed.... A bit odd for a Single Player game.... But with all the new Online Features, etc. There might be some sort new stat system or something even a bit more evolved down the road.

So I'm just wondering what is all effected if anything at this time? From what I heard people still got achievements.

In in X3 the modified tag just meant your profile score was affected in relation to your performance in game. It means you have modded the game and may be having an advantage over other players (i.e, modded out Xenon making the game easier ) I wouldn't worry too much

Others may be able to explain better, but I don't think modding is available yet.

I could see stats coming back but you can edit your save without getting modified I think. Interesting might be a secret for now

With the modified tag you don't get achievements I suppose, you can remove mods and earn them even in previously modified saves.

The clearest consequence to being *Modified* referenced in the game files is that you won't be able to participate in the online "Ventures" mode (link goes to Spoilers forum) with that save file.

Bingo. I had thought some sort of basic MP was brewing.
