MOVING PILOTS

Post by flightschooldropout »

I have a kestrel claimed by me sitting infron of my elite which has a crew member promoted to relief pilot. How the hell do I get this pilot into the kestrel? Getting frustrated....

I couldn't get it to comm my relief pilot, but after getting up from the chair, and letting him become the pilot, I could comm him (or just click on him to talk), then you can select the "work somewhere else for me" option. Haven't tried it for a capped ship yet though, I don't know if they are willing/able to get to ships not on the same station.

It says he cannot reach the workplace.... So how do I get this ship to follow me to a dock so I can put a pilot in it. This is frustrating

fly the kestral your self, and let the relief pilot follow you in your elite, and then dock and transfer with the work some where else comm option.

they need a better way to handle this.

Yeah that worked... a simple follow me computer option would be easy. I miss x3 :(

For anyone wonder right click on your ship in the owned property tab. Right click on your crew member, upgrade to relief pilot. Get up off your ass, look around the relife pilot shows up, eject from your ship, EVA over to the new ship. Order old ship to "join squad" im assuming this means follow me

how hard is it to have a list of orders like in x3... holy ****

I agree, a pilotless ships computer should be able to do a simple follow me command, or something like an Emergency beacon, that selects the nearest neutral or allied station and once claimed the computers auto pilot takes the ship there once activated.

Might be nice to have pilotless ships be an option, which are limited compared to what a pilot would do. No travel drive, for instance, only capable of following a "dock" command, will not fight or evade if attacked, etc.

Only marines can leave your ship in space (with their boarding pod). Would be nice if your crew members could use their space suit to reach your other ships though.

Add him to your squad by contacting him (press C).

Can anyone explain how boarding works exactly? Im wondering if I can dock on a trading vessel can I deploy my marines since Im landed on the craft that I'm trying to steal? Do the marines work on xenon ships? I have a glitch where 99.9% of enemy ai is frozen and stagnant. Would love to cap a xenon p before they patch :D
