Is buying an Argon Police Licence worth it?

Is buying an Argon Police Licence worth it?
I'm wondering if I want to buy a license so I can scan ships and tell them to drop their illegal stuff so I can pick it up and sell it. I never did it in X3. Is the risk worth it?

Not sure on the picking up part, but it is a great way to power up rep quickly with a faction.

I got it at the faction's warf from the NPC that welcome you into the faction at +10 rep.

Ive never seen it, im like rep 16-17 with Argon and Teladi. Is it called Police License? I've obly bought 1 license from Argon while Teladi has non.

If I recall correctly, The Teladi Company does not do its own policing. If you look at the Faction Information for Teladi Company it says another Teladi affiliated faction is the "official" police force. You'll need to rep up with them to +10, then you should be able to get the license.
