I'm an avid X fan, played the series since X2 and I liked that previous games had simple story missions.
Not very complex, epic or cinematic - but they were still there, giving me little hints and sometimes the long term goals (like reconstructing HUB, preparing my fleet for last Final Fury mission or Treasure Hunt).
Does X4 have any kind of campaign like in previous games?
I remember devs saying there will be no fully-fledged campaign per-se or something, how does it look like exactly?
Can I expect at least corporation-style missions like in X3:AP?
I like sandboxes, but I like them more if they have even simple story missions that keep me occupied.
I was never good at setting my own long term goals in such games (got bored pretty quickly, X-series were an exception) and I loved that X3 gave me simple tasks to follow with neat rewards.
I haven't bought the game yet and I just would like to know what I'm getting into
