[1.1 and 1.0] Manually docking M sized ships often doesn't work well.

This is when docking with no docking computer, so you have to line everything up precisely, and it's happened with both the Cerberus and the Minotaur. I can get all indicators green except for the V that represents your ship. I thought perhaps I must also deploy landing gear but I'm not seeing any option for that. Basically I just have to slam the ship down against the dock repeatedly until it registers. I never had this issue with the Elite, the docking computers seem to work just fine as well as having the ship's captain dock for me.

So I'm either doing something wrong, or the ships just aren't able to get close enough to the "dock threshold" to appease it.
