Buying my 1st trade ship questions.

I selected max load-out. It packs me with satelights nav beacons and resource probes. Will the npc use all these to help trade? What do I not need. Ty

They won't, no. You really don't need the max loadout either, Mk2 stuff will do just fine. For a hauler the speed difference is almost negligible for the difference in cost, almost doubles it if you go for the Gucci thrusters, engines and such. I just slap on Mk2 Travel and call it a day. Use the savings to buy a second trader instead.

Yup, I'd keep just a few sats/probes on to tell them to deploy (manually) at areas you want them too during their auto-trade/mining.
But yeah def. pick and choose (then save) a speed variant with min. everything else.
