Flight AI Performs randomly

I have so far had 12+ hours of experience playing, and started doing mostly nothing but combat and exploration. My experience has led me to finding that Enemies in combat are absolutely silly. sometimes they are spinning around randomly in what I assume is trying to get a bead on me, when I am barely moving faster than 80m/s (this happens most notably with Kha'ak fighters) occasionally getting a shot off. Sometimes those same Kha'ak ships just sit there flying stupid, and I am not even moving, and I keep shooting them till they blow. occasionally I catch them at the wrong time, and they utterly destroy me with consistent blasts.

It looks like they are trying to shake me, but have too low of a top speed to look more like they are wiggle dancing. Other times such as with the Xenon ships, they do reasonable-ish strafing runs, and sometimes they are stuck with me tailing them as we go in the same circle till i finally blow them up.

I also like to watch dock traffic. its fun, usually the AI can fly in, in a straight line and land. but with the open topped hangars the Argon have, they just spasm while path-finding out.

As far as combat goes, it looks like all the ships are running using the same dogfight AI, and because of their different speeds and shapes, they just cannot function properly using that same AI. I would really like to see the dogfight AI improved, if they are stuck trying to do something to outmaneuver me, and it isn't working, they need to try something else, its predictable and really saps the fun out of the fights. I would love to have a xenon N on my tail, forcing me to shake it loose or something, but that simply isn't happening.

I had 2 wings of Xenon m's and 1 P completely frozen in space. I tried boarding the P but dont know how. Just blew them away. AI needs some work, lot's of work
