Custom Pilot name

Is it somehow possible to change your own pilot's name?

Yes. Click Player Information, then click name, change to whatever you want.

Elite Vanguard (Name) is the name of my type of ship, not my pilot name.
Do you know how to change that?

Do the same except under Ship Information. i.e. click ship name.

I think your question may have been a bit unclear. Are you asking whether you can change the name of your own character, or the name of on of the pilots you've hired to fly one of your other ships? If you mean your own character then Bombeer just told you how to do that. If you mean one of your hired pilots, then no you can't change their name. People don't usually take kindly to being called by a name other than the one they started out life with!

Yes, I meant the pilot that I play as, is that 'Owner' in the game?
I think 'Name' is my ship name, is that right?
I think it's great that I can change the ship name and I might become more invested in keeping myself alive if my pilot character (me) had my own name!
Really enjoying discovering the details in this amazing space sim!

No, if you follow Bombeer's instructions carefully you will change your own name, not that of your ship.
