Hi,
Coming back to X after a while in E:D, thank you for taking care to make my X-52 HOTAS usable. I'm happy to see it nicely supported; even though the default bindings make me unhappy, it looks like I can map it mostly to my liking.
So, 15min into the game, some trivial feedback:
1. (nitpick) Tutorials assume default keybindings -- particularly mouse and keyboard -- even though the first tutorial is about joystick use.
2. (nitpick) Joystick tutorial is tediously slow; for future players, maybe it makes sense to make it possible to go back and forth through instructions?
3. Does it make sense to make it easier for E:D players to switch to E:D-style roll-is-more-important axis bindings?
4. Some of my keybindings in E:D use a combination of "button 6" plus another joystick button. This particularly applies to "opening" menus in E:D; button-6 + the silver POV works pretty nicely for me. How do you feel about adding the ability to bind actions to button-N+button-M?
5. I can probably turn this off, but getting forcibly rolled back into "proper plane" is killing my immersion. Is here a way to get rid of the auto-straighten feature?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm also using the X52.
With the Saitek flight control system you can create a X4 profile to emulate the Elite Dangerous menus and use the Pinkie Switch to open menus (hold pinkie + left pov open one thing, hold pinkie + right open another thing and so on) .
I have the flight already configured like ED (also the targeting), Now i'll create a profile to emulate the menu navigation (at least open things quickly).
M+K will still be used for some things like walking in station and control the interface when it is complex to do with the joystick.

I've not been successful in getting the pinkie switch to work as a shift+. Can you share your profiles?
