X4 Fatal Error (Crash)

Hey Everyone,

The game runs fine on highest settings for me for a while but then it crashes "reliably" after a while with the following report:

Any fix in sight?

To add more information:

I also enabled 4x FSAA or whatever this was. I read somewhere that this can cause issues. I will try different settings and report back to you guys here.
RTX 2080 Ti @ 411.70 (Not the latest driver... I will try updating now)

Apparently the latest NVidia RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Update has a problem. After updaing many or all (not sure) people have a black screen after booting. Apparently Windows 10 then tries to send the video signal to a n on-existing monitor. The only option for me was to safe-boot and revert back to the old driver. So that solution is out of the question.

Do you also have the 2080 Ti?
Or is it a problem not related to the graphics card or driver?

got a 1080ti with the newest drivers
so its not relatet to the 2080ti or the driver
already tried removing the driver and reinstalling but didnt helpt

I seem to have gotten the crashed solved... Not sure what exactly it was.
But I changed Graphics Options to:

Fullscreen (Instead of Borderless Fullscreen which I had before)
FXAA MEDIUM

Maybe one of those options was responsible. But for 5-6 hours. No crash anymore.

Choosing too-high AA options can indeed result in problems like this, as they consume a lot of video memory. That's one reason why removed some of the crazier AA options, some of which even today's beefiest graphics cards can't actually handle, in the 1.1 update.
