1.0 HF1 BUG "Fragile extraction" mission

I was given a mission to retrieve a ship from a mine field. Cleared the mines, then it told me to get close in my space suit and scan out the "leak" but the leak never appears. If I'm right it's supposed to look like a little red glowing blob that makes a hissing static sound. I flew all around the ship in my space suit with scan mode active and was not able to find anything like it.
