I, like a number of the people on here can't get the game to launch, from Steam or desktop shortcut
What it does is (via both Steam and shortcut) just blink once and nothing comes up.
I have run verification on the game files in Steam, and no problems come back.

Re: RE: Can't launch game
What fixes have you tried? If we swap lists maybe we can help each other.
I've tried various fixes:
I've tried various fixes:
- Ran X4 as admin
Deleted X4.exe and re-validated integrity
Restarted steam
Re-installed nvidia drivers
Unchecked read/write permission of user docs and X4 steam files
Created AVG File Shield & Enhanced Firewall exceptions
Checked X4 has access through Windows Firewall
Disabled AVG
Tried looking for and deleting C:\WINDOWS\System32\amd-vulkan64.json - file wasn't there, never used an AMD card previously
Took Thrustmaster T16000M FCS USB out of port
Uninstalled Oculus client
Took Rift USBs and sensors out of port
Disabled Steam overlay
Right clicked on the X4: Foundations folder and checked individual files that "Compress contents to save disk space" was unchecked

Re: RE: Can't launch game
@OP
First off, I do not think laptops are supported.
Second, your machine is VASTLY UNDER POWERED to even try playing this game.
MINIMUM cpu to run this is something like mine: a phenom II X4 @3.2 ghz will run the game acceptably; anything less and don't even try.
Without the cpu, no matter what your ram or graphics card, you will never run this game.

Re: RE: Can't launch game
It's not so much that laptops aren't supported, but there are minimum requirements, and I'm afraid the OP's hardware simply doesn't meet them. The CPU is far too slow and the GPU doesn't support Vulkan and has nowhere near enough video memory to start the game. Sorry about that, OP, but you will need to play the game on something different.

Re: RE: Can't launch game
Before wasting an hour moving the game, I'll ask if this is a better construct, or if I need to start shopping the new week's sales, as this build appears to meet the gaming scores better and should be Vulkan compat. Re: RE: Can't launch game
I don't see a proper graphics card on that system. I'm afraid Intel on-board graphics aren't up to scratch for this. Off course maybe you just didn't mention a graphics card that is installed on there.
