At steam, people buy the game just to write a negative review, lying in the descriptions, searching problems and just refund to make some trouble.

That even means spamming "NO MANUAL!" or "JUST DIGITAL!" or "COMPLICATED!" (within 30mins play time?) all the time.

Take some hobbies.

@Egosoft @Steam please dont accept any undeserved refund. Its not correct.

We are not at "wish some stupid".

I'm just starting with X4 and yes it is complicated and definitely could some more documentation and guides..... but It's BRAND NEW and that stuff will come with time.

I played EVE Online and really don't think X4 is more complex. I played it for several years and even after that, there were aspects of the game I knew nothing about. I've played Elite Dangerous which I believe is less complex, but limited in scope. Part of the fun is mastering the learning curve and figuring out how to do stuff.

Also for a release day, I think things went pretty smoothly. I did not encounter any major bugs.

And compared to that other game????

with the initials SC, we have a REAL working Space game that's complex and actually has a release date that was actually fulfilled...and I bet it didn't cost 200 million dollars plus. So congrats Egosoft!

X4 is not a game for Fortnite kiddies or anyone who can't concentrate more than 30 minutes. Most of the sub 1 hour played reviews will more than likely refund the game anyway.

I totally agree with the OP.

This game's graphics are fantastically beautiful, it has tutorials that if you decide to go through them, teach you things you need to know about the game, and so far, I'm extremely impressed. It runs smoothly on my computer, and I have had zero cause for complaints so far. This has been a thousand times better experience than Rebirth launch!

i didnt like X-Rebirth coz they removed the terminal and becoz the game was a mess.
When i started X4 it was exactly as X-Rebirth. Compared to the old X-series: the gameplay has change from click & go
to something completly different. You have to stay on the stick. and honestly in combat i prefered the old X2-3-TC/AP style.
The enemy ships are reduced to 1 pixel, there arent enough automated tasks and using an controller is a joke. there arent enough buttons on it.
The graphics..... TC/AP had 4K support but a ****** HUD on those resolutions. if they had spent some weeks devlopping on new HUD for AP, the reviews would have been A M A Z I N G

Requesting an high-end gfx card for high graphix and bad gameplay isnt really worth it, unless you are an hardcore fan, and live with it,

Almost 70% of approval rate is not that ******.

I was surprised that some experienced crashed, didn't got any so far.

Some bugs, there is, but nothing to do with Rebirth release..

All though game have some bugs it is quite fun... Leaving curve is somewhat difficult do to buggy tutorials but if you reset them enough times they will work... It actually takes some effort to learn and understand this game and that is something people dont want to do.

I'm definitely mostly positive on this game so far. There are quite a few annoyances in the game but no big problems Ive seen so far. Compared to Star Citizen this game already rocks! I'll most likely put in a good review in a few days.

Just give it some time, a few weeks and they will stop and move to another game.

Not everything is undeserved, there are some bugs (especially right at the beginning!) that make people give up really fast.
Like clipping through the landing pad - basically every new player trying to figure out how to land is going to experience this.
Or the buggy tutorials in a never ending loop or just breaking or finishing too early.

That makes them basically give up before the 2 hours refund policy runs out as soon as they have to tackle the UI. For me it is not understandable how this wasn't on priority #1(!) for the devs, however I also don't know what was in it's place

. It basically makes them missing out an amazing game.

It is a real shame.
Still there are also a lot of undeserved comments, mostly whining about tiny "it's not like I want it to be" problems. It's a shame. The game is stunning.

I am one of those people who has spent thousands of hours playing x3... i skipped rebirth.

I pre-purchased the collectors version of this, and I just requested a refund from steam. I have a total of 3 hours playing it, and 2 hours and 45 minutes of that time was flipping back and forth through the settings trying to get keys to map.

Not sure if they are going to give a refund or not but in any case I'll wait for the bugs to be ironed out before trying again. Too frustrating, and I had high hopes.

And I just bought a $500 RTX 2070 just so that I could play this game because my GTX 770 which still worked fine could not....

I haven't played it yet, but if any of the previous X titles are an indication, this is NOT a game someone can play for two hours and "know everything." Heck, I was still dragging around ships on "Follow" through Jump Gates and listening to them crash two hours into X3TC...

My heart sank when i went to steam store page and saw 47% positive. Then, i noticed all the reviews had less than 1 hr to 2 hrs play. That's only enough time to say you don't like the default key bindings. I already had 6 hrs play in so the 47% didn't effect my purchase. Took me 45 mins in X4 to set up my hotkeys by playing, switching keys, playing, swapping keys to get what i wanted. Did the same with X3:AP which was my first X game. I put 1400 hrs into that one. 7 hrs in to X4 now and i've got that same sense of curiosity, wonder, and freedom like i had in X3:AP. I'm one of the (lucky, by some people's definition) group that hasn't seen much in the way of bugs so far.
