[1.10] (323115) BUG - Borderless Window Mode acts like Fullscreen with flickering / Stalling while tabbing.

I think this is sadly an everyone issue when I talked to others but I will throw some basic info:
Windows 10 64
GTX 1070
4770k

So just testing the main menu but when I am in borderless window mode it acts like I was in full screen. Tabbing back and forth causes massive flickering that gives me a headache for life as well as causes the game to stall up to a couple seconds. I just realized one the streams I watched yesterday in fact crashed while in this mode from tabbing back and forth.

Sadly I'm not sure if there is a way to make this more smoother as it really does not give you the true borderless window mode.


GOOD News: Window mode has no effects like this. So you can tab back and forth without an issue. So at least we know pure window mode works.

I also tried to use one the programs I love for a lot of games with issues with borderless mode called Borderless Gaming. Sadly it does not work with X4 assuming Vulkan issues.

ffs I doubt will ever get to the bottom this bug.

At first I thought was because my center screen was 144Hz so I changed it to 60Hz. Same issue the other 2 monitors played fine...

So I tried just the center monitor and it acted up.

So I tried another monitor on its own diff cable it acted up...

So I shuffled the 3 monitor cables for fun while the game ran. All the sudden the center one had not flickering tab issues....

Then when I closed the game back to the issues.

Very nasty bug that might be hard to try to find.



Not to developer: best way to repeat the bug is move the game to all your monitors and see if one can replicate the tabbing stalling issues.

This is one bug that makes life quite frustrating. I wish there was more I could do I even formatted and installed Windows + Drivers + X4 fresh without luck.
