I must first say a big thank you to Egosoft on delivery a truly remarkable space game. I am blown away by the scale and depth the game has to offer. Fantastic stuff.
But this post is about the one and only major issue I have with the game so far, and that is the lack of decent well though out mouse flight controls. The seems to be no option to invert pitch for the ship only, nor an option for dead zones or curves and acceleration. Also there is no way to set mouse axis to yaw, its always set on roll which is frustrating. Right mouse button is locked out completely, mouse scroll mapping dosen't work either. All of these features are pretty much standard these days as people like to strictly configure their mouse and keyboard based on years, sometimes decades of muscle memory. And without the ability to map all buttons and axis how we like, the game experience becomes an exercise in pure frustration fighting awkward controls. The ships all behave in a twitchy, instant kind of feel, with no smoothness at all. Very mechanical and jerky due to no dead zones etc...
Please guys, can we get some mouse setup some love..? Thanks...
Better Mouse ship Controls needed pretty please..

Absolutely agree with the post.
The game seems to be nice but I can't stand the dead zone in the centre of the mouse.
Also, the control seems to be way too linear. It doesn't feel like a real ship but rather to when you're looking around with your character inside the station.
