Confusion about X4: Foundations Collector's Edition on Steam [Solved]

Hi all, dear devs!

I was just looking up the release time on steam and saw this (see spoiler).
The CE of X4 is classified as DLC and it states that the 'base game' i.e. the NOT CE version of X4 is required in order to play the CE version. EGOSOFT, You might talk to steam about this.

EDIT: As it was stated below, I'm o.k. do be confused. To comprehend this properly you have to have deeper insight in the way Steam handles DLCs and game upgrades in it's platform ... And I simply can't be bothered.

I found that confusing too, but if memory serves, the description should quite clearly state that the CE Edition includes the base game

The Collector's Edition Content is NOT the Collector's Edition.

The Collector's Edition is a nice box you can buy with everything in it. It is a game w/ all that stuff included.

The Collector's Edition Content is a DLC for those who have the base version of X4 who want the stuff from the Collector's Edition. Think of it as just a box w/ all the goodies that you can get if you prove you bought the base version.

It's a little confusing, but it has to be set up that way because of the way the store works. You can't really "upgrade" a game.
