What happened to the 'tree' layout so you can follow who is replying to who. This is something I particularly liked on the old forum and is not featured on (some) other game's forums :?

I don't think that's an option with the new phpbb code. At least, I think it's not an option.

Most phpbb forums I've used with the notable exception of the old forum never had such a feature!

Technically, it wasn't an option with the old code either--it was something Helge hacked together for the old forum.

That was a special by Helge, thats not a part of standard PHPBB forums.

Dont know if its adaptable to the new Version 2 code phpBB have produced...

Still who knows, maybe thats why it took so long to set it up, after all you can set one of these forums up in a couple of hours. :)

When I am upgrading to phpBB 2 on the THQ forums, I'll of course also adapt the ThreadView code. This may be like January 2/3, 2003. I don't know whether _this_ forum can wait until then, but I just don't have the time to do it any earlier. After all, this is the reason why I not yet switched to V2 over at THQ.

Respect man !!!!
I think it was cool and worked really well, thats why I chose a forum with both types of view.... nice!

Before you go maybe re-invenvting the wheel, have a look at DCForums, hes just released a new MySQL version... Sweet.

Very cool. very slick, it may save you some time and effort. :)

I never used the tree view. I like the flat view.
