how do you add your own sectors?
Just wanted to ask if you can make a completely new sector that doesnt already exist in the original universe?Like making your own headquarters sector, but allowing you to continue with the plot? i know there is a mod already out there that adds headquarters but im fussy like this. How do u make it (if you can that is)? Thnx

To add a new sector:
First: You need the x2_universe.pck unpacked into a editable txt file. X2 modder works good for this. Hint, you have to unpack the cat/dats to find the file first, copy it then you can pack the cat/dats back up.
To add the sector you must copy and paste from another sector in the x2_universe file. Then you can edit it. First change the sector coordinates for your new sector. These are labeled as x & y on the first line of the sector data. Here's a useful link to a thread on editing the map file.
