Missing animation: hireing through radio while docked

Hi, I did this twice on two different stations.

While docked on the station, if you go through game menu to radio technicians to then hire them, there pod will show up on the radar and you will hear them say they are on board, but you will see no animations of them entering your docked ship. They simply appeard in your ship using magic.

These folks are not on the bridge where you are docked. They are elsewhere.

I suspect this has been in the game for a long time.
