Newbie
Hi, As a newbie to X I have a few questions, is there a good stratagy for trading? What I mean is, with the rapidly changing market prices of the comodities it quickliy gets to the stage where you have to move to a new system to continue making profit.
Oh look, I seem to at the bottom of a deep dark hole. That seems a familiar concept. What does it remind me of? Oh yes, now I remember, Life!

Thanks Scarecrow, I havn't seen the Paranid yet, Only in Boron space so far. I should point out that I only have the origional game X: Beyond the Frontier. Bought it when it came out and promtly forgot about it. Found it a couple of weeks ago and slapped it on my machine and fired it up. So far I'm enjoying it enormously.
Any other advice you could give would be much appreciated.
And Rock, Glad I could give you a laugh.

Hey JS, don't be put off by these guys taking the p**s, they're just a little bit cranky waiting for the next game in the series to come out. Check out some of the other posts on the board to see what I mean
But that IS sound advice from the Scarecrow man. ALWAYS buy cheap and sell dear. Check out my site to download Excel tables for factory stats if you like. Or look for posts by a guy called Commander Jamieson. His website is truly a wealth of info.
PS. Welcome aboard this crazy bandwagin

well ok here goes....
atart off by trading in energy cells around the sectors(cheap and cheeful)
, move onto crystals (good proifit if you know where to go) and then up selling high-end products such as satellites..
BTW soya beans ain't too bad to start of as well.
Search for a guy called "Rapier" and check out his sig for the excel file.
edit : -The Rock deserves a drink after that..

@JS
A strange nick name there JS. Perhaps a rethink of your nickname might be in order if only to keep the standard of this forum up. Get in touch with Steel if you want to change or we might do it for you. Permanent
All other newbies who read this and who get ideas of such "funny" nick names, think twice
Cheers

My apologies Commander Jamieson, but I've been using this name online for many years and I would be loath to change. Is anybody reading this offended by my nickname?

Thats enough for me to do as i'm told
please do not misconstrue my pathetic attempt at humour for a challenge to cj's opinion
which i also happen to agree with
there is a general rule that any profanity ect is kept off the front page of the board iirc.
