Xenon I keep spawning in TO

No matter how many of them I kill off, new Xenon I keep turning up out of nowhere. Game is unplayable like this. Somehow the Xenon Incursion Mission is seriously broken in my game. Can anyone post me the clean state of the Toride_Mission XML scripts to replace in my savegame, or some trick to remove the mission completely? I would hate to hack the savegames on good faith, I have no idea how this stuff really works in the background.

I have not got the mission in my active missions, must have cancelled it in the middle of the panic attack during the first Xenon I which appeared in the middle of my trade ships. Oh, and I use quite a bunch of mods, but who doesn't with this game....

I can post the broken parts of the Toride_Mission scripst of my savegame if someone is interested what happened.

Seriously thinking of quitting another sad X-experience. Winter is over anyways.

the Xenon I in FoO is not part of a mission but a job ship. also i its restricted to a relatively remote region near the war memorial and not moving away from there, so it shouldnt interfere with most activities. it does regulary respawn though, every hour to be precise.
if not stated otherwise everything i post is licensed under WTFPL

Ich mache keine S&M-Auftragsarbeiten, aber wenn es fragen gibt wie man etwas umsetzen kann helfe ich gerne weiter ;)

I wont do Script&Mod Request work, but if there are questions how to do something i will GLaDly help ;)

the I will flight from MA gate to zone 15 in toride.
u must flight to zone 15 and u became a new message when the I is there.

What / where is FoO? I get Xenon I with a couple of K every few minutes in MA:Blast Quarry, TO:Fallback, TO:Anchorage. I have been all over the place while they were around. I don't get any messages. I am pretty sure the plot line is broken. I just want to continue my peaceful trader game and get rid of this insane incursion...

*X - when even features feel like bugs*

PS: the Xenon groups appear right next to gates and kill off almost every single trade ship. I am thinking about replacing the complete Toride_Mission scripts with those from a new gamestart. Maybe it will work.

sorry, my mistake.. i thought you reffered to Teladi Outpost with TO, which contains the System Fields of Opportunity.

just checked the HoL Job files, the I is also defined there with what i interpret a respawn time of 10 seconds. usualls this should never happen because the Job is deactivated immediately when the Mission is completed, but if its for some reason activated prematurely or after the mission has been completed this doesnt trigger causing endless respawns.. could be mod-related..

anyway look for the related Job Names in your save and remove the active attribute - this should prevent further respawns (they are not active by default, removing that value uses their default state).
the related Job Names all end with
_tormiss01_st4
and the I itself is
xen_destroyer_xl_invasion_tormiss01_st4

if there is no active="true" attribute there then instead add an active="false" attribute - has the same effect, but works if some modded decided it would be funny to set these jobs as active by default

edit: didn't have time to play long today, but it looks like it worked! :thumb_up:
