I'm wanting to do a let's play series of X3 on Windows 10. Though when I launch the game I have about 80 or so pixels missing at the bottom. it does not run the game in a traditional window mode but rather maxes it out like borderless window mode (something I do want) but missing about 80 pixels at the bottom. If I don't hide the windows start menu it also keeps over top of the game application.

Okay I thought I share this.

This fixed it so my start menu was not over the darn game and also fixed it so the window mode was not oddly shifted around.
Either way X3 is Beyond hacky and is doing things that is never ever considered appropriate
Their window mode is not window mode but hacky window mode. Can't use the windows key, Can't move the window, can't even use a lot of normal things you would use with it like my third party screen capture program.
There is also a mod (dll injection) that sadly is dead:

I hope this helps someone down the road googling this.
