I am currently looking at the script trade.station.tradestation.xml
Based on this, am I to understand that when a game starts (new or continuing), some stations are being patched for the ressources and products they have ? Meaning they will be set to already have products/ressources from the start.
This made me realized about what would happen to gameplay if a new game would start with all stations being blank as if they have just been created.
But this particular script is not doing for every kind of stations. Why is it even doing this ? To make sure there is a supply already existing for such demands ?

this Script is usually started exactly once on Galaxy Init and initializes Trading Stations (the only kind of stations where its supposed to run on) to have Trade Wares (normal state is that no wares are trade wares) and give them some inital stock that it looks like the Game was already runnning before player.age 0s - during regular Gameplay no wares will be added since this Script loops infinietly at line 61 to 64 effectively doing nothing after init
not sure what you mean with "continuing game" - when loading a game this script is already in the aforementoined loop and cannot escape from there.

It's been a long while since I worked on my mod, so my memory of this may not be 100% correct - but if my memory serves, this particular script deals with maintaining the stock level and trade prices of wares on "trade stations" - in other words, NPC warehouse-type stations (non-production).
