Steam X3AP3.1a broken mission "corporation troubles" share recovery #4

Currently running an unmodified version of the game (for achievements but that's not really relevant).
Doing "corporation troubles" share recovery #4, where you have to protect 2 convoys from the yaki.

The problem is that both convoys have been completely destroyed without reaching their destination. When i talk to the mission giver i have no options to complete the mission, or start over, or abort the mission or any such choices. Furthermore, the game keeps spawning yaki attack squads on me since there are no more transports for them to attack anymore.
Unfortunately i dont have any saves from before it reached this point.

Any suggestions on how i might be able to resolve this without getting the *modified* tag on my game?

It seems that you are not alone, but no resolutions in there unfortunately.

Other than reloading to before the convoys were destroyed and to do better, no.
