Steam PCK Files

Hello,

I just downloaded a clean install of X3TC and X3AP.
There are PCK files everywhere, a few months ago it was all XML files.
if I just extract them all will it work ok ?
anyone else having this issue?

pck files are just compressed xml files. Except for a very few exceptions (a few files) the xml files have always been provided in a compressed state. If you had them extracted, then you did that yourself, which is possible, and in some cases very helpful (especially for modding), but by no means necessary.
